OVERVIEW
Mua Cave is located right at the foot of Mua Mountain Ninh Binh. If looking down from above you will see this place is like an upside-down bell. From the foot of the mountain you can see the stone steps leading to the summit. On the two sides of the stairs are carvings with bold cultural characteristics. This is also the place where the ancient Tran king often came to listen to the beautiful women who sang and danced, hence the name Mua Cave.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
The best time to visit Mua Cave is around 6h00 - 10h00 AM in the morning before the crowds strike or you can visit in the afternoon 15h00 - 17h30 as it is a great time to watch and enjoy the sunset over the valley.
In the summer it’s ideally to visit Mua cave for you to catch a panoramic view of ripe rice fields. But don’t worry at any time you totally admire peacefully imposing and stunning beauty of Ninh Binh.
As you can see the best time to see Mua caves is when Vietnamese farmers are planting rice then even green or yellow rice paddies all attract you immediately.
This period of time will start from May to July of a year. If at that time it’s on a sunny day you will have memorable day trip in Mua cave.
But sometimes it’s far too hot and you may get tired that influences on your mood. A cool day is a good choice to visit Ninh Binh with watching sunset or the flow of dawn as should-do activities.

BEST THINGS TO DO IN MUA CAVE
1. Take photos at the virtual tower
Following the path leading to the foot of the mountain and climb nearly 500 stairs to the top of the mountain to explore this tower. The ramp up to the stand in Mua cave is too steep, it takes about 25 minutes to 45 minutes depending on your strength.
After we had climbed mountain, you will see a highest tower in Mua cave with Vietnamese traditional architecture. The view is so beautiful from up above with a clear blue sky and majestic mountains

2. Explore Dragon Peak Sunset + The Goddess of Mercy’s Shrine
At the top of the highest mountain there are two roads: One path to the right signed one of The Goddess of Mercy’s shrines and the other to the right signed a dragon with beautiful stonework creates a specific for it – you can witness the one of masterpiece in Ninh Binh.
Although Mua cave is closed at 5pm and sunset down around 6:30 pm. However, you still can enjoy the sky had begun to turn orange when the sun set behind the mountain top

4. Tiger Cave + Flower Garden
Tiger Cave is located on the left of the entrance. Walk through the artificial lakes, through the small paths and an ancient large, mossy green artificial lake is the entrance to the cave.
This cave don’t have a large surface area. There is an underground stream deep inside cave. However, it only appears during the summer
Located on the right hand side of the entrance is the valley of colorful flowers. A large lotus lake. However, if you come here in the summer, you will have the opportunity to take photos and enjoy the lotus

This dish is extremely nutritious and delicious because the goats live on the mountainside. They usually eat the leaves growing on the mountain.

Snails are in all regions of Ninh Binh but concentrate most in limestone areas like Tam Diep, Yen Mo and Nho Quan, Hoa Lu. The meat is tough, brittle and flavored. Snails can be made into various dishes, namely roasted snails, fried snails and boiled snails.
HOW TO GET THERE
By Motorbike: If you would like to travel by motorbike, you can go on the old National Highway 1A, through Ha Nam and head towards Ninh Binh Thanh Hoa.
Ninh Binh hasn't got airport yet, so the flight is not avaiable to Ninh Binh, but there are some airport near Ninh Binh province such as Cat Bi airport in Hai Phong and Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, so you can take the flight to these airport and go from these airport to Ninh Binh.
By tourist bus: You can book the tourist bus with Asian Discovery Travel. It's start around 7h30 - 8h00 am ( pick you up at your hotel), transfer you go to Mua Cave. It's take more or less 2 hours from Hanoi to Mua Cave. You will have a short break on the half way.
By local bus: You can take the bus go on Phap Van Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Highway. With a distance of about 90 km, it may take you around 1,5 hour to reach the center of Ninh Binh City. Then from Ninh Binh city, you will take grap or taxi to Mua cave.
You can easily go by train to come to Ninh Binh urban axis is situated on the North-South Railway. In Ninh Binh Province, there are also a lot of railway stations, including Ninh Binh, Cau Yen, Ghenh and Dong Giao Train Station. But the most popular is Ninh Binh train station. Some trains departing from Hanoi are SE1, SE3, SE5, SE7, SE9, SE19. It's take more or less 2 hours go by train from Hanoi to Ninh Binh. It's cost from 10 - 15usd/1 pax.
